Élan.
Élan is a training tracker (strength, running, cycling, walking, swimming). It works without an account and without a server.
All your data stays on your phone. Élan sends nothing to the publisher or to third parties, and uses no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tool.
Élan stores on your phone, and only there:
Uninstalling the app deletes this data, except the backups and exports you saved elsewhere yourself.
If you allow it, Élan reads from your phone's health store (Health Connect on Android, Apple Health on iPhone), on request or at the end of a workout depending on your setting:
Élan uses these readings to show the average and maximum heart rate and the recovery between sets of a workout, and to import outings recorded by your watch. The readings are stored on your device, inside the app, and are neither sent nor shared. Élan writes nothing to the health store and reads no other category of health data.
You can withdraw the permission at any time in Health Connect, or in Settings → Health on iPhone. Data already imported stays in Élan until you delete the workout.
If you turn on GPS tracking during a free outing, Élan reads your location in the foreground, during the outing only, to compute distance, pace and the track. Location is not read in the background nor outside an outing. The track is stored on your device; deleting the outing deletes it.
Reminders (end of rest, Monday review, planned workout day) are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No external notification service is used.
You can export your data (JSON file), a track (GPX file) or a workout card image, and enable an automatic backup to your phone's Documents folder. These files are created on your request and go wherever you choose to save or share them. Élan keeps no copy elsewhere and does not access them.
Voice announcements use your phone's speech engine. Depending on the engine installed, it may process the text offline or through its own service; that processing belongs to the engine and its publisher, not to Élan. The spoken phrases are short labels (countdown, exercise name, "Record") with no personal data.
Your data is under your control, on your device: you can view, export, correct and delete it from the app (Settings → Data, "Erase everything"). Since the publisher holds no data, there is nothing to request or to have deleted on our side.
